hey, what's the best way to install panther on my ipod. Should i reformat then make a partition? If so, what's the best way to do that? And then how do i get the other half of the ipod to act like a regular ipod again? Thanks for your help.

I'm not exactly sure, but Panther is a very demanding OS... I wouldn't put it on an iPod.

EDIT: HD (iPod) is slow spinning...

Nothing much really, just make sure that there is enough space on there (you'll need about 1 Gig for the most basic of installs), have it mounted, restart from the Panther cd and choose the iPod as the drive to install on. As easy as that. And when you're tired of it, just trash it (from your main install).

I have done this, but, so far, I have used it only for about half an hour. My iPod did get quite hot after a while, so I decided to call it quits.
