iSight Incompatible w/ iMovie

Does this shock anyone else? Sure it is meant to be a web cam but shouldn't you expect to use it in iMovie too?

Software for iSight is in Beta. Compatibility will eventually be added according to some articles I've read. There have been some articles on getting it to work. Check Macsurfer from last week. Also check Apple Knowledge base.

Can you record DV with QT Broadcaster and import it into iMovie?

iMovie can only import DV, iSight doesn't record in DV, therefore iSight can't work with iMovie.

mentions though, Quicktime Broadcaster might present a viable workaround.

iMovie can only import DV, iSight doesn't record in DV, therefore iSight can't work with iMovie.
