Change a User Name in Workgroup Manager?
I need to change (Password Server) Win 95 user "BSmith" to "bsmith" in the Workgroup Manager of OS X Server 10.2.6. The WM wont let me change it.The name is grayed-out. Any ideas? Do I have to get "down and dirty" in NetInfo?
The reason I am doing this is because I have a Win95 user who can't connect to Samba as "bsmith", but can connect as "BSmith". I can't seem to make the Win95 box understand this (I cant seem to change the Win95 user from lowercase to caps without problems), so I think it will be easier to change the user's name on the server than fight the Win95 box all day. The 95 box will be replaced with a XP box in 90 days anyway...
Also: I didn't think Samba or Win 95 used case-sensitive user names. But thats what I am experiencing. Any thoughts?
