Trash won't empty!?¿

Suddenly for no apparent reason my trash won't empty. The dialog box comes up showing the items being deleted but they are still in the trash afterwards. Help! I have repaired permission to no avail. Its annoying launching terminal to remove files!

    have a look in console next time you empty the trash, and see if it sheds a bit more light on the subject.

    The program you really need is Cocktail, you can find it on version tracker. It is a all purpose utility for the mac. it can force empty the trash for you. Check it out.
