will new palm/GPS unit sync to mac?

anyone heard of or seen this

It's a combo palm OS 5 device with built in GPS, looks pretty sweet. similar size/form factor to other palm/sony PDAs. NY Times reviewed it here and seemed to give it a pretty good review.

But, will it sync with the mac? I don't know why it wouldn't, but knowing that the sony's need the missing sync or whatever, makes me a little nervous.

OK then, anyone know how i might find out? The sony clies use the palm OS so I would have thought they would sync with macs out-of-box; but they don't - you need "the missing sync" thing.

What's different about sony PDAs vs palm PDAs that makes them not sync with macs?

If I knew that, maybe I could figure out if the gps/palm will work. it's not that big a deal if it needs missing sync; but it would be bad if it just didn't work at all.

I downloaded the manual from the Garmin website.

Unfortunately, the manual states "not compatible with Macintosh computers."

Good thing Apple doesn't make a PDA, eh?

I would love an Apple PDA or an iPod with complete iApps integration!
