Question from a computer video virgin
Hi guys. Just bought the 1.4 G4 as the price was too good to pass up and it looks like a G5 will be out of my price range for another year or two.
My situation: I did not get one with a SuperDrive as I will have no real use for one after this one project. I will however, have access to a standalone DVD recorder with a Firewire input as well as S Video. If I play the video on the Mac I can make a DVD on the recorder via the S Video input but will it also "play through" the Firewire connection as well? Or is some sort of software required to use the Firewire as a video out port? I realize this is a very simple question to anyone who has dealt with computer video before but I have not.
