Upgrading a Slot-Loading iMac

I saw an article this past week that mentioned G4 upgrades for slot-loading iMacs. It was something like a G4 500 MHz for under $200 US. How hard is it to upgrade an iMac?



Is it worth it?



Has anyone else upgraded the processor in a CRT iMac?



I'm asking this because I'm pretty broke but would like to upgrade my machine and do not/will not have the money for a new computer any time soon.

    It's pretty simple to take the iMac apart and put it back together. I'm not sure about slow load upgrades. I know there are G4 upgrades for the tray load iMacs.
