I was wondering what the time frame has been, in the past for buying a new computer with an older OS installed on it and being able to use a coupon, or proof of purchase to obtain a new OS (i.e. - 10.3 when it's released) for free.



Is it a month or longer?

    I don't think it'll ever be free, but you might get an almost free upgrade by using one ot the three cupons you got with your eMac. I think you'll have to pay $20 for shipping + other expenses though.

    That's not bad. I knew Apple usually did something like that in that you can get an upgrade if you recently purchased hardware.



    $20 eh? That'll be $2000 Canadian

    It is usually after the announcement of the release date.
