I don't see why not... It's a standard PCI card.

    The G5 uses 3 PCI-X slots, 1 x 133mhz, 2 x 100mhz...

They are 64bit slots, but will work with 32bit cards.

Is there some funky shape to this thing? Or is it a strange size card? If it's a normal sized card, then it should work.

The main thing I'm wondering about is if the Adaptec 29160N uses 3.3 volts. [i'm unable to find anything pertaining to this on adaptec's site]

    ie.

    http://motu.com/english/other/g5/body.html

they are offering new replacement cards for g5 machines because their current pci cards doesn't use 3.3 volts

I found some info on that card here:

    http://www.btinternet.com/~sgi320/PCI.htm

And a general rule on 5V vs. 3.3V PCI cards here:

    http://www.btinternet.com/~sgi320/PCI_type.htm

    Hope this helps !
