Apple iShot? well, it's probably nice, but the name's pretty stupid.

Apple should not make a camera (or have it made for them, which would have to be done.) One reason is that digital cameras have little profit in them. Second, there are so many choices now available why bother. Third, let the camera companies work with Apple (as some are already doing) to come out with a really user-friendly version (which many already have) that works with Apple's current and upcoming software. Fourth.... uh, forget it.

Yeah, there are a lot of choices - but how many CONSUMER models have a FireWire port or built in mini HDD? That would speed things up and make things much more friendly - and it would pay for itself in time.

This is an interesting find if it hasn't been completely made up...

Apple already dipped its big toe into the digital camera pool lest we forget those awful Apple Quicktake (or was it Quickshot) digital cameras from several years back.

Awful? The QuickTake was great for its time. I still have mine...even though it doesn't work anymore. But when it did, it was super.

Actually, iShot is the new Apple semi-automatic rifle, with Altivec-enhanced night-vision (which records your kills for later review via iMovie) and target-detection (which integrates with Address Book and iCal), integrated MP3 player and a variety of pretty snap-on covers.

Included in the boot ROM is a mugshot of Bill Gates, which enables it to pump several rounds into his face without any user interaction.

    Red herring? I think so.

Yea, but does it gut, skin and butcher your kills? That would make it more user friendly for the hunters out there...

Not only that, but with the Airport Extreme turned up to max, it will even cook the meat to perfection with the innovative iChef application.

    Willoughby,

For now could you just copy and paste the text from the US site? I'd like to see exactly what it says (the whole page)
