Airport Extreme setup

Still testing the Airport Extreme on my PB12...
My wireless AP requires a 128-bit hex passphrase for WEP. Well, it requires that because I told it to. I've figured out how to get the airport to talk to that (clicking the Airport thing on the menubar, choosing my network and then changing the pulldown menu to "128-bit Hex". However, I can't seem to make this permanent. The Network Settings thing in the preferences doesn't have a pulldown.
How DO I make it stick? I did select "Add to keychain" but it didn't actually do anything...
(this is probably a software issue, but it's kinda hardwareish...)
