PowerBook 1GHz TiBook - Purchasing Advice

Just wondering about this - I'm considering buying one of these (apple are selling refurbs real cheap) and i have a few questions for current owners:

1. is it noisy?

2. how long does it last on a fully charged bettery?

3. does it have any notable reliablity or usability issues to consider?

4. How much RAM can it take (maximum)?

5. is the screen as good as the AL 15" PB screen (it looks the same in the shops but what do you think)?

6. does it get really hot?

Mega Thanks

I bought an Apple refurb 1GHz Ti about 3 weeks ago (in the UK). Here are your answers:

    1. is it noisy?

Nope - the fan runs at times, but very quiet (at least compared to my PC

    2. how long does it last on a fully charged bettery?

Not entirely sure, but I used it for about 90 minutes in a cafe, and it still claimed to have about 2 hours or so left. Not yet run it right down, but I have heard 3 to 4 hours is normal. Anyone else?

    3. does it have any notable reliablity or usability issues to consider?

Mine has been GREAT so far. Only issue I have noticed is that the little flap that covers the ports at the back feels a little flimsy.

    4. How much RAM can it take (maximum)?

1 GB - 2 cards at 512 MB per card. Get them from Crucial

    5. is the screen as good as the AL 15" PB screen (it looks the same in the shops but what do you think)?

I adore the screen. VERY crisp. I have changed it to use PC Gamma (2.2 rather than 1.8), and this makes everything appear a lot more vibrant. Full brightness is very bright. Not a single bad pixel (so far) on mine. I really can't say enough about how high quality my screen feels to me.

    6. does it get really hot?

It hasn't so far, but I haven't used it on my lap (all desk or coffee table use). Can anyone else help with this one?

I love mine. It is almost as good a feeling as I got when I bought my Pismo PowerBook.
