Advice and Questions on Purchasing an iPod

"i'm going to get an ipod, and i have some questions.



are there any problems dealing with id3v1 and id3v2 that i need to know about? does v1 work but not v2, or vice-versa, or anything like that?



also, when browsing by albums, if the id3 tags have no track number, how are they organized? by filename? by track title?



if theres anything else i ned to know please inform me. thanks"

    1. i'm pretty sure that the ipod can handle just about all the versions of id tags.



    2. when viewing through an album, the songs are ordered by track number. i would assume (since i can't find any of my albums that dont ahve track numbers), that the ipod would organize by track name.
