Cross Platfrom iPod/iTunes support

Any idea if the new iTunes for Windows includes the necessary code to read HFS+ volumes? I know there are 3rd party solutions, but I doubt any of those are yet compatible with iTunes for Windows.

In short, can a Windows PC sync/share music with a Mac-formatted iPod?

The answer is a big no. This pisses me off so much, but iTunes for Windows still kicks ass.

When I plug my iPod in, it says "software not installed". I guess then a Mac drive reader like MacOpener or MacDrive would be able to enable iTunes for Win. to read it, because all iTunes sees as "software" is the /iPod_Control/ folder.
