How warranty works?

If I would buy my new iBook from the states, would the warranty still work here in Finland? That way I could save 100 ? because of the strong Euro.



EDIT: Problem solved "If the product is portable, meaning that it can operate independently without a power cord, you may obtain warranty service worldwide."

    Wouldn't you pay at least that in shipping though? And you know that the Union has started charging sales tax on international vendors selling to residents of the union.

    Not here either. But perhaps you know a student in Sweden that can take advantage of the offer?
