Now in Panther those "Cartridge out of ink" error is driving me nuts. When the error message pops up the printing process just completely stops

I check the cartridges and they are very full. Have no idea on what the **** is going on

HP Deskjet 932 printer by the way

Try cleaning (gently) the contacts in the ink tank holder and the contact surfaces on the ink cartridge.

You may also want to try reinstalling the driver.

I used to just take out my cartridge and put it back in, but it doesn't work on my newest printer. It worked really well on my old one though. I could get a few more weeks out of it before the printing really started to look crappy.

HP seems to just have a dodgy habit of not reading the available ink level too well. I doubt it has anything to do with the fact they have massive margins on selling the ink.

My suggestion would be downgrade your drivers if you can and complain to HP about their drivers forcing you to change cartridges against your will.
