file size copy limit?

I have some backup sets that are around 200GB. when trying to copy directly from one drive to another (external firewire) it hits 4GB and dies.



Anyone know if this is a Panther limitation, or is the external firewire drive the limiting factor?

    Is your external firewire drive by any chance formatted as Fat 32? If so, that's the problem. Fat 32 has a file size limit and if I remember correctly it's 4GB.
