Anybody running an aftermarket ATI 8500 with 10.3?

Does anybody have an aftermarket ATI 8500 running 10.3 and if so, is it working correctly? The reason I ask is this which I got from http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/.

Now what torques me is that I ordered an aftermarket Geforce4 MX only to find out that it does not have drivers. So I ordered an ATI 8500 which I'll have tomorrow and now I find out that it too may not work.

This may not be relevant as you are specifically talking about the ATI 8500, but I installed the ATI Radeon 9000 Pro prior to upgrading to Panther and have had no problems at all. Hope this helps.

Flashed radeon 8500 here with no problems. It's in the 2x agp slot of a dual 450. Development versions of 10.3 didn't seem to have any problems either.

I'm using Panther on an AGP G4 450 with an aftermarket Radeon 8500. No problems here.

Quicksilver 933 here with aftermarket 8500.

No problems in Panther, or when I dropped it into jag. Didn't use the install disks or n'uttin.

Even the first generation retail Mac Edition Radeon works fine on my brother's G4 tower (running Panther)

Well, I put my radeon mac edition 8500 in my sawtooth 450 and so far, it's working great. Sure wish I could have just spent the $75.00 for the Geforce4 MX instead of the $200.00 dollars I spent on the radeon. Ah well, at least with the radeon card, you also get a few cables, some adapters, a CD with drivers, and a neat looking box.

    $200? US?

Wow...I feel like I got myself a good deal when I got my Radeon 8500 for 160 canadian dollars.

Look, child, I've got a Radeon 8500 RTL in my Power Mac G4 with Panther running A-OK here too.

Look, child, PC Radeon 8500s can be easily flashed to be Mac compatible. No need to get ripped off and spend $200 for a two year old video card.

EDIT: Just waiting for Eugene's response to this... what the hell is up with him today anyway?
