Matlab

I'm learning to use this software right now. Unfortunately my university only uses Windows2000 computers. So, how good is the Mac-Version of Matlab? I believe it is 99,9% compatible isn't it? Where can I buy Matlab Student edition in Europe, or only on Mathworks.com?

Any comments are welcome.

Thanks

The Mac version of Matlab has worked well for me for classwork with no limitations or incompatibilities noted. I believe the default installation is for Darwin. There are instructions available (you'll have to do a search - I don't remember where right now) for running it in X11 with the application in the Applications Folder (i.e., in the place you'd expect it) rather than in its own folder.

If you have specific questions I could try to answer them, but can't think of any information to volunteer.
