GPU makes noise?

On my new 12" PowerBook (DVI), I can hear the graphics chip sometimes. I know this happens because every time Quartz Extreme is in use (esp. Exposé), I hear a slight buzzing/whining coming from the computer. But this only happens when the computer is plugged in. Are there any other users who are experiencing this?

    I hear it too on my 12 inch. I had thought it was the processor. Or... something is making something buzz lightly when the computer is doing stuff. Not the hard drive...

    yeah, happens on my Ti as well. it's the GPU. i think it's only noticeable because everything else is so quiet.

    And it only happens sometimes. It's kinda distracting when it happens (on my TiBook 867)
