Were these two kernel panics fixed?

I hesitate to try because meeting the Col. is never a fun experience. The two in question are:

1) Mounting more than one SMB share.

2) Plugging/unplugging USB devices while computer is asleep

Anyone know if anything was done to correct the above? Like I said, I'm hesitant to just try them out.

What Panther fixed for me was the Pioneer DVR-A05 drive spindown/sleep/kernel panic issue (if a disc left in the drive for long periods of idle time).
