Okay. I have a Mac and a PC. How do I share my cable connection between them?
Can I use Internet Sharing?
Do I need a router? How come there are software and hardware routers?

You can share via Internet Sharing, using wireless adapters (USB adapter or PCI adapter) or you can buy a router and have the router do it for you (much easier, IMO). I use the D-Link DI-604 router, which is nice and cheap, it has 4 ports and has browser setup. Easy.
Oh - also, you can get it refurbished from Tiger Direct for $20.
