Renaming multiple items.
Hiya fellas.
Does anyone know how to rename multiple files at once? Possibly a Terminal method..
The problem: I rendered out a sequence of animation frames, but accidentally put .jpg at the end of the base file name, which means that every frame the renderer outputs will be called 'Frame.jpg0001.jpg , Frame.jpg0002.jpg' etc.
Obviously there's problems there.
The frame sequence software I'm using won't recognise the folder of frames as a sequence because of the .jpg in the middle of the name.
So please, if there's any possible way to batch-rename files without me going through and renaming hundreds of files by hand, I'd love to know it..
I just need to know how to get rid of that middle '.jpg' in the filenames.
Thanks in advance .

Otherwise, I found a bunch at MacUpdate.com

If the link doesn't work, just go to the main page and do a search for "rename".
Hope this helps.
That's extraordinarily helpful, and thanks for the quick response too!
