iBook battery trouble

For the last few weeks, my iBook will run for 1-1.5 hours. Then when it gets around 70% battery life, it goes to sleep, and when you plug it back in it says the battery is completely drained.



Is my battery kaput or is there anything I can try?



It's an iBook 700 combo drive currently running 10.3.1

    Sounds like you need a new battery. Ask apple care about the problem (if you are still covered) or go to an Apple store and ask a tech. NOTE that I said ask not shell out money.

    Thanks. I was afraid of that.

    Sadly, I got my iBook about 14 months ago, and I didn't get the extended applecare.



    Oh well.
