Can someone give me the proper procedure for using an external lcd with my Ti 500mhz..running OS10.1.2. Would like to use it closed and I hear of different ways to hookup the lcd and get everything going..any help would be appreciated.

Also do the NEC lcd panels have a good picture quality, I am considering NEC as 1 brand of

choice.

If you want some people's opinions check out my thread "15" LCD". A few people gave their opinions about brands.

Easy! Start with your Ti turned off and the lid closd.

Plug in a USB keyboard & mouse and connect the display to the Ti's VGA port.

Start the Ti via the keyboard's PowerOn button.

Watch it only use the external display.

Note: If your external KB doesn't have a power-on key, open the Ti, push its power button, and immediately shut the lid.

I just ordered a NEC LCD last night. It should be coming by the end of the week. I'll let you know how the quality of the display is.
