Pdf into Word

Ok, heres a good one.

I have a client, I have a PDF version of her letterhead, we have word.

she wants her PDF to open in word as a template.. how?! perhaps a jpg?

    I had the same problem with a client. I opened the PDF in Illustrator, saved it out as a WMF (I think), and then placed that file into Word as an image.



    Is that what you are asking?

    and she'll be able to type her letters or whatever with out worring about the image below?

    Should be able to. You could set a template for her to make sure that her text doesn't flow over the image in the background.



    It's been a while since I've done it. Our clients had numerous offices and departments and just wanted a generic stationery suite that everybody could overprint. It worked a treat.



    P.S. make sure that the image you place in the background is a vector file rather than a bitmap (you're effectively placing clip-art).

    Just drag the PDF from Preview into word and it will place as an image. Click and size o fill the page. Control-click on it and go to Format Object/Picture or whatever and make sure it's set to appear BEHIND the text. Save the file and you're good to go.
