uhh... bear with me on this

I have a 12" 1Ghz Powerbook, and I'm interested in upgrading it's ram, but have a couple of questions:

1. what kind of RAM is compatable with it? pins, pcXX00?

2. How many slots does the powerbook have for ram?

3. where's a cheap good place to find RAM for it?

4. If there is only one slot, what should I do with the 256 mb piece?

    1. I think 200 pin DDR PC2100.

    2. One user accessible slot

    3. Check out comparison sites like ramseeker or dealram. Crucial has a small sale on some memory right now, so you can check them out also.

    4. If you're referring to the 256 MB that comes standard, it's built-in and therefore you don't have to do anything. If you had bought the computer with 512 (i.e. upgraded from 256 --> 512), then you can sell it or do whatever you want.

OMG thanks for telling me. I was scared that I would need to spend alot more to reach 512 mb. that is, end up with a extra piece of RAM I don't need.
