this is my system:

a Cube (now with a radeon7000 with twin view mode ), connected via ethernet with my dsl modem.

internet sharing is on, my iBook is connected via airport - works wonderful!

But:

i don't have flat rate; therefore: walk to the Cube, switch on the iNet, go back to iBook, surf the iNet...- walk back to Cube and switch off iNet (ok, last step isn't necessairy, 'cause it sitches off automatically after 15min).

any chance to start the iNet connection remotley from the iBook?

thanks in advance!

Hmm... one solution might be to write a little AppleScript that remotely triggers the Internet Connection app to connect to the WWW. At least in MacOS X 10.2.8 and 10.3 the app can be scripted, so the only real problem would be to do that remotely... shouldn't be 2 hard either. I'll have a look into that and will post my findings here l8er on.
