17" PB buying advice - 1.33 vs. 1.0

I'm in a bit of a conundrum. I can't decide which version of the 17" would suit my immediate needs. I mostly work in video compositing (AfterEffects, Commotion & such) at this will be my 'work a bit at home and client presentation' machine.

The only differences between the two models seem to be:

(1.0 Ghz vs. 1.33 Ghz):

USB vs. USB2

60GB vs. 80GB HD

1MB L3 vs. 512K L2 cache (!)

NVidia GeForce4 440 vs. ATI Mobility Radeon 9600

and obviously the .33Ghz difference in proc speed.

I don't care about USB2 and I'm replacing the hard drive anyways, so for me it boils down to the latter 3.

At online retailers I've found around a $250-$300 difference between the two models, and as I'll be selling it around fall next year I'm tempted to go with the 1.0. Suggestions?

I'd go for the 1.33. After all, that's 33% more speed. (No, it really is) And the GPU is better, and you get more cache.

Oh, and the HD is a little bigger.

I STRONGLY recommend spending that extra little money.

I've seen the 1.0 for $2199 (check dealsontheweb.com and dealmac.com). Get the cheaper one, it will depreciate less and you can put that money toward a nicer machine in a few months.

The 1 ghz has a smaller L2 cache, but has a L3 cache (1 MB).

The GPU is slower, but it won't make a difference for your own usage. If people where concerned by games, i will vote for the new one.

The difference of performance is rughly 25 %.

My advice will be to get the old one, and fill it with the maximum of ram.
