buy airport extreme now?

I'm thinking of buying an airport extreme card soon. Since pc-card WLAN cards have had a big price drop (they are around 50$ now). I wonder if it is likely that the airport extreme card will drop soon too?

    apple didnt drop the original airport card in price even when prices were slashed on third party cards.



    sucks. i'd love to see their base stations slashed by 100 bucks.

    BTW, I heard that a new Wi-Fi standard is coming, 802.11i.

    and what does 802.11i entail? or is that just a buzz word rumor you heard?

    It just boosted the security over the existing 802.11x and still the the draft stages.
