nasty problem with panther address book
I have panther running on an IMac 350 mhz
1 when I open the address book and click view all, the address screen is totally blank.
2 when i compose a new message and click on an address, the address book comes up nicely. I can insert an address. After that the address screen freezes, for example, I cannot scroll to add a second address.
I am a senior citizen I think the mac is great, when all my family has pc's

That should be a relatively easy fix. What you need to do is delete your caches. You want to do that when a certain program starts acting up, in this case, your address book.
To delete your caches, open up your home folder, than open the Library folder, than open the Caches folder and press the Apple key and A at the same time to select all of the folders in there. Than drag them to the trash and empty your trash. This should clear your problem up. Any more questions feel free to post them here.
