Please help if you can.

I have a Dual G4 450/AGP. I would like to pick up and internal optical drive, a super drive if possible. Does anyone know of a drive that my system will support?

I appreciate the help.

Most drives SHOULD work. There aren't any inherent differences between drives Apple uses for their systems and ones that aren't used. However, there is varying driver support for other drives. At the worst, your drive will only burn media in Toast, and it won't allow booting from a CD. But there are plenty of drives out there that are fully supported in OS X, and will boot from a CD as well. Go here for reports about the compatibility of various drives.

Check out http://www.xlr8yourmac.com they have a database of drives complete with user feedback. Click on the Drive Compatability link.

    Hope this helps.
