what kind (brand name) of hard drive can i put in the imac dvse

Any standard 3.5" ATA hard drive. Major brands include Maxtor, Western Digital, IBM, and Seagate

Are U Sure??? I have heard that Apple does not support all standard Drives becuase u need the plle drivers. Have also heard of conflicts with OS X.

I'm fairly sure. I replaced the Quantam Fireball that came with my iMac DV with a Western Digital Hard Drive about 4 months ago, and it's run fine, didn't have to install any software. And I'm running OS X full time.
