Apple is developing a new Powermac G6, and is soon to be released in Febuary of next year. The new G6 will outperform P4's by 10 times their speed. The new PowerMacs will be able to achieve speeds of up to 8.0 Gigahetz. The new architecture will be thermally cooled by convection airflow. The motherboard will support up to 100 Gigabytes of DDR memory. The base models will boast a magnificant 300 Gigabyte Hard drives, at a fantastic speed of 10,000 RPM. The motherboard will have optical threading, replacing the current "slow" gold wiring. This will enable a bus that transfers data up to 10 times faster than conventional bus data rates. A new onboard L4 cache will also be included, and help boast speeds even higher. Apple is developing their new "Ultradrive" which will soon replace their "Superdrive." This drive will read CD's at 70x, burn CD's at 50x, rewrite CD-RW's at 30x, read DVD's at 20x, and burn DVD's at 15x. The new G6 will be a full bodied transparent "glass" case with reinforced titanium to strengthen the architecture. The new G6 will offer 6 USB 2.0 ports, and 4 firewire ports, 6 PCI-X, and a 128 megabyte DDR video card. Lets all look forward to the new generation of the Powermac!
