Things like that tend to be most valuable as scrap metal. Nobody wants a ship like that for shipping.

I'd buy that for a dollar!

I want a ship like that for just being able to say I own an aircraft carrier. Damn.

Good thing we got saddam so he couldn't buy it and use it to launch his wind-up balsa wood drones armed with long degraded VX residue bombs at New York.

I mean, if he had gotten his hands on this thing the Iraqi navy would have had a whole entire ship!

Do you think they can send it to me via FedEx?

On second thoughts, no ordinance, no deal.

one plane (presuming it would be a fighter jet) would triple the current bid on that thing.

There's a plane in the picture.

Am I the only one who finds the seller's somewhat broken English very un-reassuring?

Why does it say rooms for "1,300 men"?

Oh wait...I see it's from the British Navy.

...yea, but if it were "men and women" you'd have to buy the optional hospital ship that comes with it to handle all the pregnancies. The Navy has had some problems with that.

I'm sure once it sells, the Wired article about how E-Bay will change capitalism forever and save us all won't be far behind.

Actually, it did. A few hundered sailors, 2 or 3 small damaged warships (which I'm pretty sure are stuck in italy) and a bunch of speedboats.
