just checked my order at the apple store and totally unexpectedly my iMac has shipped. It is quite pathetic how grateful I am.

    details:

ordered - iMac SD + airport card + basestation

    from - Apple education online

    on - 29/01/2002

I had previously been told by Apple that it would ship 4th March and arrive 8th March.

'BAWJAWS' is a great name - better than mine...

notts26uk sounds like a AOL-WINDOWZ user who lacks imagination to think up a nice web name let alone do anything decent with a computer.

OK iDome isn't great - but it's irony when the Dome failed in thye UK and the new iMac (iDome) will be massive worldwide... Respectapple!

Thanks for totally moving away from the point of this thread.

I suggest you start a new thread to approve or slag off peoples log in names.

FYI I am an award winning Mac user in the design/advertising industry and happen to be very creative.

OMFG! Get a grip. And in future maybe it would be a good idea to use the <a href="http://forums.appleinsider.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=2&t=000360"; target="_blank">thread which you already created for the exact same subject?

Yeah I get that when I track it from work through our proxy server but if I connect using a modem it's fine. Weird. Also, you won't be able to track it until roughly 24 hours after it ships.

Hey, i don't know if you people's experience is the same as mine but I'm up against Windows every time I turn around at my work. It seems to me Macs have come within an ace of being wiped out of the UK only a couple of years ago. Let's not slag each other off. Having seen the reaction of friends and fellow workers to my new imac Apple could be on to something here - if they market it at all in the UK !

Sorry you still don't have yours Notts but it will come soon.

    Thanks for that Jimdad.

I am hoping to get mine Fri, Mon or Tues all being well. I am no.3 on the list and the reseller has 8 coming in late this week or early next.

No more details than that. Fingers X'd

come down off the high horse, we like to keep it friendly here at ai, as long as the entire thread doesn't disintigrate whats wrong with 1 post commenting on someelses name? now with your attacking reply it has moved away from shipping imacs and on to why you were such a jerk... including this post.

I therefore have to ask who you work for and what awards you won...

No point slagging names after all...

    CHRIST GUYS

All of you get a grip....we sound like our American Cousins bitching all the time. Now we don't want that do we?

Seriously though....your all wrong and BTW I got my little beauty Wednesday. It was due to come on Tuesday but the driver couldn't be arsed to drop it off. He drove past my house twice and even told me if he had delivered it then someone else would not have had their parcel. I told him I didn't give a toss about anyone else and reported him to his firm. He in depp doo doo now. The thing that pissed me off most was Tuesday night I had a fatal crash on my old iMac and lost everything If he'd have arrived Tuesday afternoon I would have transferred my files and wouldn't have lost owt.

Anyway my baby is here so I don't care any more

I was in John Lewis Oxford Street a few hours ago, and they had an 800 on display (nice!). The guy there said that 50 were coming in next week, but that they were all spoken for, and new orders would take 3 weeks!

W00t! (I have no idea what that means but it sums up how I feel) my iMac was delivered 5 minutes ago. I'm seriously considering faking an illness and heading home from work early.
