help. . .

I updated to 10.3 and 10.3.2 and I have been getting allot of problems.

I browse the web mostly, but have had problems with mail

and other apps.

I did a clean install after initially performing

an update/archive from 10.2.8 to 10.3.

(i.e. I zeroed the hard drive)

I have never had any problems with any OS X systems,

starting with the public beta.

I have added no other programs other than OS X programs.

I zapped PRAM, I hit the S1 button.

My machine is a 733 G4 digital audio

with 1 Gb RAM, ati 9000, and a 40 GB hard drive

and I'm networked via an earthlink DSL modem.

The system freezes up in two similar ways.

The first is when the browser fails to finish loading a page

and I can quit the browser, but I can't open anyhting else

and I cannot restart the machine.

I've been pressing the power button on my monitor and holding it

to get the system to shutdown and then I restart.

The other way of freezing up is when I try to move to another

open application and the thing opens but then it freezes.

I have tried all the usual things repair permissions, disk warrior,

PRAM, zeroing the drive and reinstalling

including reparing permissions after upgrading.

I like the upgrade for the snappy and quick feel.

I simply need it to stop locking up on me.

So, any ideas.

I have read the FAQ and as stated above done that already.

Maybe a voodo ritual would help.

Hopefully one of you geniuses will have the solution;

or it will arrive in the next update.

cheers,
