Think of how much faster you will be able to do stuff if you can instantly get to anything on the screen you want. I think this would be really cool. I also would LOVE to be able to type by thinking. I think this stuff is pretty cool, haha side affects although...

I've used something similar here at uni. With practice, you can pick options from a menu and stuff. I think that one's more advanced though.

My thought pattern is really speratic... so much so that typing my thoughts would make me look crazy...

    EDIT:

BTW ast3r3x, you got a little brown on your nose...

Haha I can see how you can think that. But I've seen a video if Brad demoing expose for someone and he said as fast as he was moving in that video is how he normally does it. I work fast enough that people can't tell what I'm doing, I thought HE had the movie in a faster speed or something.

    EDIT:

Maybe he can find it and show it to ya...if he really does work that fast then you'll see what I mean. Haha may have been a bit much but I will think of nothing more clever while I'm watching a movie.

Some people at my school can just fly through a GUI -- like a hot knife through butter...

And again because I have seen thread titles with Brad's name in them before.

Anyway... yah I think the system would be great but it needs a lot of work... I would like them to kill off some more monkeys in the name of science for some better results.

I'd offer the test program for stupid people but why should they get the privilege of getting to try this technology

Haha...way to even out the positive/negative Brad statements in this thread

Want to see a REAL suck up thread, find...I think it was pscates saying how good the mods are doing...maybe be true, but no reason to let them know what we really think about them

Minority report setup...I never want to have to use my arms to move around windows like that...I can sit at my computer for hours, I don't want to get tired while I'm doing it! Holding out your arms and moving them around like that doesn't strike me as a good design...just cool looking

I like that arm-window-moving idea... yes, it will make you tired at first, but it is unhealthy to spend hour after hour sitting on your ass behind a computer anyway.

Atleast this way you can get an arm workout while enjoying the net to its fullest... oh wait I forgot about porn.

That setup is not for constant use... it is for the crime stopper on the run. It has a user-friendly interface, point-and-click minus the click. I would like to use something like that in a multi-monitor setup (with like above 5 monitors).

Oh well ... the next big thing will not be this idea... anyone want to start a pool for when Quantum computing hits us?

...and what occupation do you have may I ask

When I work (summer job) I use a wacom tablet all the time, I know I just can't imagine using that. But I guess not everyone does what I do huh? I just always thought it would be easier to control your computer with your mind.

Except for the HD and optical drive, you could move to more of a no moving part system...less to break for laptops
