Actually, its from OS X 10.2

You can tell because the dock doesn't have a pinstripe background, and the menubar text has no shadow.

As for being real or not, it would be easy enough to fake, but who knows.

Does anyone know what the source of the image is?

Is someone just toying with us or is this for real?

I love this game. My coworkers and I play it at least once a week on our internal LAN. IMHO it is one of the best co-op online/network games out there. It has that perfect mix of great game play, wonderful graphics and multiple user interaction. it also has some of the bets mods of any game I know of. The Desert Combat mod is as good if not better than the standard game.

But to have it at home on my Mac would just be killer!

I say it's fake. I mean, look at the FPS numbers it's reporting. It seems rare that in NEW games we see that high of FPS.

seems it would be easy to fake.... no difficult lines to worry about or anything... i mean, do you want me to do one with panther in the background? cause it'd take 2 seconds...

The pic may be fake or it may not. I do know that Aspyr is planning on bringing this game to the mac. BTW it looks really nice!

This is cool BF1942 is fun.

I hope some of the mods will be cross platform, or make it over though. There is this one mod my brother plays, it basically makes the game into a star wars FPS, with all the vehicles and weapons and such. It's *really* well done, and is quite impressive.

Well, we can only hope that BF1942 for mac is expressing a commitment towards our platform of choice and that BF:vietnam will fall in suit too, in less time than BF1942 took. gotta start somewhere I guess.

    I've heard that BF:V isn't as good as BF:1942.

    Too much green stuff apparently.
