Dock can close windows in Panther!!!

i just noticed this today. if you have a window minimized, and you ctrl-click it in the dock, there is a close window option!!! exciting!!!

    I believe this is for Finder windows only, which indicates that apps must program the contextual menu item themselves.

    Yup...in dev builds some windows (document windows mostly) that had unsaved changes or that had to get the user's attention before being closed would not close automatically (making the 'close' option useless). Decent move on Apple's part...but I wonder if there would be some better way of handling this.

    Sure. Have the window pop up to the front, displaying the "There are unsaved changes..." sheet. Cancel sends it back to the Dock.

    It will work in SetiLogger X as well...
