okay, folks. if you were going to nominate someone from the AppleInsider forums, who would it be? you're also welcome to suggest appointed cabinet members and such, if you want. then maybe we'll follow up this thread with a simple poll to do our voting.

    If I were President



    I would have Fran as my secretary of state



    I would have Powerdoc as my US ambassador to UN



    I would have ShawnJ and Trumptman as my political affairs party leadership council



    I would have Shetline head my expanded Science and Technology initiative.



    I would have Kirkland and Aquafire co-chair my council on domestic liberty protections. (work to ensure liberty for all)



    I would install murbot as the official White House party coordinator



    I would hire drewprops as my media handling consulting firm



    I would have Leonis design and run the White House website



    I would have all the rest of you in my inner circle of advisors



    Just a thought

    Who has been nominated for a position of power? Only one person has nominated anyone so far, and in proper mod fashion Fellowship has given everyone very long titles, but no real power.

    And of course Shawn and I share the longest title for which we can feel properly important while doing pretty much nothing.



    What exactly would a political affairs party leadership council member do?



    I have the POWER!?! Sounds like the Dilbert universe. Longer title, more work, no increase in pay.



    Of course in the office that Shawn and I share, my name has to be on top.

    Pfflam, Secretary of Education... or perhaps a new cabinet post, Secretary of Philosophy.



    Immanuel Goldstein, Special Envoy to the Middle East.



    Powerdoc, Health and Human Services.



    Put Giant in charge of the CIA, and Sammi Jo in charge of the FBI. (Then we, and they, could find out what's really going on. I'm not sure who would end up being most surprised.)



    Give Fellowship the post he recommended for PowerDoc, Ambassador to the UN, because he's become so very diplomatic lately.



    Drewprops in charge of NASA.



    BRussell for my Chief of Staff.



    Billybobsky, new Supreme Court Justice (even if he doesn't have merit).



    SDW2001, secretary (no capital S) to the assistant to the ambassador to some really, really remote, tiny country.



    Hassan i Sabbah, special task force for developing witty sarcasm into a military-grade defense system.



    Thuh freak in charge of the FDA, so he can personally sample everything that has to be approved.



    Then I'd find some clueless, easily-manipulated newbie who has just signed onto AI, and prop him up as President while I quietly ran things from behind the scenes.



    Anyone who feels left out, I could probably find a spot for you in the 30% staff increase at the Justice Department for going after Microsoft.
