i have a 3x80GB raid and one of my hard drives makes an occasional "beep", but i dont know which one it is. i asked one of the computer repair technicians where i work, and he said its a sign that the drive is going bad and could die soon. is there any kind of diagnostic software that runs on osx that could test which one is going bad?

i acquired a copy of tech tool pro from a friend and the drives all appear fine. only odd thing is that one of the drives temp reading is 107 degrees, its the one i have mounted in the zip drive bay. me thinks it may be time to try and figure out how to rig a fan for it

I think so. Check CompUSA... I think I saw something like that there.
