CBS SuperBowl Ad Censorship

CBS is refusing to air ads created by the Bush in 30 Seconds ad contest and the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, even though the White House will be allowed to run one. This isn't a partisan issue, it's a free-speech issue: it's critical that our media institutions be fair and open to all speakers. That's why we're telling CBS:

"CBS, don't play politics with free speech. If the White House can run an ad during Super Bowl, other groups should be allowed to run issue ads as well

Unfortunately network TV is a business venture... and they can AIR or NOT AIR anything they want. Regardless of how convoluted their "standards" are.

They can't deny to run a candidate's ad.

CNN is running the moveon ad. Move On has the money to run the ad wherever they want.

Could always boycott CBS... which other than CSI and 60 Minutes... sucks.

I'm a Pats fan so I'll have to watch the Superbowl. uhg.

Have to close this one down. Its been covered directly in this thread and indirectly in others. If anyone got anything new to add then do it there. But do notice the thread probably dropped for a reason...
