How long until new macs actually ships ?

Do you think the new machines will be available immediately after the 7:th, or will we be forced to wait months/weeks before we can get our hands on them. Which will ship first, the iMac or the PowerMac? Will Apple have enough computers ready to supply the demand?? <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />

AFAIK, the new powermacs will be available at the end of January, beginning of february, depending on where you live. But somewhere around that region. All this is from my second-hand source, so believe of it what you will.

I have no idea what's going to happen to the iMac wrt to delivery times.

What I'm hoping for is that the Keynote will be shown at the Apple stores, and at the end of the Keynote, they will roll out some/all of the new products right then - some for sale, some for demo.

I agree Belgian wafle, the new powermac will be available around the end of january depending on the region you live . We also know that the US is always ahead in this about 2 weeks . This comes close to a imidiate availability in the US .

Yeah, there won't be a long wait, until March, like there was last year. The new G4s are ready, and if the G5 rumors are for real, then G5 powermacs are being built right now.

I think we will see G5 powermacs and G4 iMacs, and they will all be ready by Feb. at the latest.
