AirPort Card (and slot) question
First off, does anybody know how much power (mW) the AirPort (non-extreme) puts out? It seems that most card put out between 30 and 50mW, but some of the higher end wireless cards can be 100 to 200mW.
Also, is the original AirPort slot a regular PMCIA slot? If I were to buy a higher-end wireless card with no built on antennae, but had a couple MMCX jacks (such as the Cisco AIR-LCM352), could I put it in my AirPort slot, install the software, hook up the internal AirPort antenna to the MMCX jack, and have it work?
(I'm not looking for responses like "Why would you do that? Just get AirPort." I am doing experimentation with different wireless gear, making home-brew antennae and such. I have my reasons, I'm just looking for technical info. Thanks.
