Wacom Serial to USB conversion

I was just reading a post at another site forum, and somebody mentioned that Wacom has some kind of program where they'll swap out the old Mac ADB interface with a USB one.

Anybody know anything about this?

That's for the intuos with serial connector. You return the tablet and Wacom will cut of the serial cable and change it to USB. They will only offer 1 year warranty on the transformed tablet

For ADB tablet, AFAIK they offer some kind of trade in program. You can return the tablet and getting like 50-100 bucks (I am not sure the exact figure) of rebate towards the new Intuos USB tablet

Oops. Sorry. That's what I really meant.

I have a 9x12 that I used to use on a PC. At first I thought I'd be able to use it on my Mac witha serial to USB adapter, but then I found out that the tablet is still seen as a serial tablet and there aren't drivers for that for OSX.

Thanks, I'll contact Wacom directly and see if I can get some info on this.

    Any idea of cost?

I believe it was about $35-$50....but you better call Wacom for real price.
