    There are actually little scripts that will take a image and ASCII version like. So not too much time at all.



    It is still cool though.

    Not only that, Apple has a CLI app in the developer section that lets you watch QuickTime movies in Terminal in ASCII text like that.

    Brad, Foad, care to share how to do this? How do you watch those movies, what are these programs called.

    The simplest/best way to use it is to set your terminal background to black and text to white, and then make the window large. Launch the app in Terminal (you can drag and drop) put a space and then the path to a .mov or other QT compatible format movie (again, you can drag and drop) then just hit enter. It's not very useful, but it's a lot of fun (at least for a few runs)
