Does anyone have any opinions for using Bose speakers with the Powerbooks?

And how about Bose's headphones?

I use a set of Bose powered speakers with my PB and iPod but I assume you're talking about their computer speakers and don't want to be lugging around powered speakers. I've thought about getting the computer speakers. They look good. But I need another set of speakers like I need a hole in the head.

The thing with Bose is they make good stuff but you'll pay extra for the name. If you are looking for powered speakers, I'd look at what Edirol has to offer but I don't think they make computer speakers. Can't comment on Bose headphones (mine are Koss) but I'm sure the same rule would apply. Good but pricey.

A good rule of thumb with headphones, is take whatever you would have spent on bose triports (or whatever) and spend the money on Sennheiser's in the same price range, eg: Sennheiser HD590.

My 2 cents, as an audio fanatic.
