Install Apple Display Software?

Well I finally got my dual gig running since my monitor arrived today My question is my Cinema Display comes with a software cd. do i need to install this? thanks

    Only if you are running older systems. The software on the disc is a part of Mac OS 9.1 (or was it 9.0.4...?) and up.
