weird problem: missing Print & Fax pane?

Hi all-

Upgraded to 10.2.8, and now my Lexmark Z23 won't print (the driver says it's good for 10.2 to 10.2.6). All the solutions I've read about involve going to System Preferences and selecting a printer through the "Print and Fax" pane. Trouble is, I have no such pane on my System Preferences. Anyone know what's going on?



Should I just revert to 10.2.6 until I get Panther?

    Why not simply upgrade the Lexmark driver??



    I did this at home, until I ditched the POS Lexmark Z23 for an HP.

    Because Lexmark evidently does not have a driver for 10.2.8. I looked at Lexmark.com.



    I did fix the printing problem, somehow. It works. But I still wonder why I have no Print & Fax pane in System Preferences?

    IIRC, the Print & Fax pane is 10.3 only.

    Correct.



    10.2 still uses the Print Manager app (or something like that... been too long since I've seen 10.2).
